    Grades 5-7 students at Sacred Heart School recently participated in the third annual Youth Parliament, a dynamic event designed to instill democratic values, leadership, logical thinking, and public speaking skills. The program was a resounding success, providing a platform for students to engage with civic responsibilities.

    Educationist Ajay Agarwal was the distinguished chief guest. The proceedings were led by Speaker Ambika Gulyani and Principal Secretary Humaira Ali. Arnav Raj took on the role of Prime Minister, heading a cabinet comprising Pratyusha Sharma (Roads and Transport), Umme Sidra (Home Ministry), Mayank Barnwal (Health and Family Welfare), Sushmita Ranjan (Railways), Aham Barnwal (External Affairs), Shreyansh Saha (Defense), Trisha Kashyap (Education), Aparajita Singh (Environment, Forest, and Climate Change), and Zara Arman (Agriculture).

    The ruling party was represented by MPs Shweta Kumari and Srishti Priya. The opposition, led by Gaurav Ranjan, included MPs Divyanshu Bharti, Vicky Kumar, Adhya Sharma, Pragya Bharti, Rashmi Ranjan, Ashvi Singh, Aradhya Shri, Anchal Kumari, Soumya Bhadani, and Bushra Arif. Sangam Kumari served as the President. The media team, consisting of Avantika, Harshika Sinha, Kranti Kumar, Annu Kumari, and Ansh Krishna Pandit, diligently reported on the parliamentary debates.

    Awards for excellence were presented to Umme Sidra (Best Speaker, Treasury), Bushra Arif (Best Speaker, Opposition), Pratyusha Sharma (Best Bill), and Gaurav Ranjan (Special Mention). Ajay Agarwal lauded the students’ impressive preparedness and confident delivery. Principal Pramod Sharma emphasized the Youth Parliament’s contribution to students’ overall development and their understanding of democratic governance. The event concluded with great enthusiasm, leaving a positive impression on all involved.
