Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma didn’t hold back on Sunday, lambasting Congress over a botched political meeting in Rangiya that he said laid bare the party’s chaos and estrangement from local culture. The rally, according to him, was a damning exhibit of mismanagement and disregard for Assamese traditions and values.

Addressing the press, Sarma shared his initial ignorance of the event, only to be stunned by subsequent media footage. ‘It looked nothing like a proper political forum—more like a scene of total anarchy,’ he observed.

Deeper still, Sarma diagnosed this as evidence of Congress’s internal rot and its accelerating detachment from the state’s social fabric. Political events that trample on cultural sensitivities, he cautioned, could fracture communal harmony.

‘Real Assam politics honors our heritage and unity,’ the CM asserted. He highlighted the perils of ignoring these tenets, pushing for a proactive defeat of Congress to protect both regional and national stability.

Sarma implored voters to champion cultural preservation via informed ballots. ‘Awakened citizens are the bedrock of progress,’ he motivated.

Speculating ahead, he envisioned Congress joining forces with Raijor Dal under Akhil Gogoi, driven by Miya community dynamics. ‘They’re heading for a merger, and the Miya role will be decisive,’ Sarma forecasted.
