What starts as a childhood dream often fades into memory, but not for Sayali Satghare. The 22-year-old pac bowler stepped onto the WPL stage for Royal Challengers Bangalore, declaring it ‘a debut like something out of dreams.’ Her confession? ‘I’ve been rooting for RCB right from the start.’

Satghare’s cricket odyssey began in Nagpur, balancing studies with endless hours perfecting her slingy action. Inspired by RCB’s never-say-die ethos, she dominated age-group cricket before cracking into the big leagues. The WPL auction marked her turning point—RCB saw in her the next big thing for their women’s squad.

Debut day brought nerves and nostalgia. Against Mumbai Indians, she struck twice, her swing bowling dismantling the top order. The stadium erupted as she celebrated her first WPL scalp, a moment etched in RCB lore. Reflecting later, Satghare shared, ‘Every practice felt like preparing for this. RCB has been my team forever.’

Coaches hailed her maturity. ‘She’s got that X-factor,’ remarked bowling coach Alex Fairley. As RCB builds momentum in the league, Satghare’s fan-to-player arc adds emotional depth to their campaign. It’s a reminder that passion, paired with skill, can rewrite destinies.
