The Banhatti campus of Scholar B.Ed. College in Giridih was abuzz with activity as it hosted a special ceremony. The event marked the orientation for the incoming B.Ed. trainees of the 2025-27 session and bid a fond farewell to the D.El.Ed. trainees from the 2023-25 batch. The college leadership, including Director Pramod Kumar and Sardav Joravar Singh Saluja, were present as distinguished guests. Principal Dr. Shalini Khovala and D.El.Ed. In-Charge Dr. Hardeep Kaur initiated the formal proceedings with traditional lamp lighting after a warm floral welcome.

Principal Dr. Shalini Khovala addressed the new B.Ed. students, outlining the college’s operational guidelines and the academic curriculum. She shared an inspiring message attributed to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam: ‘Dreams are not what you see in your sleep; they are the aspirations that keep you awake.’ She further elaborated on the college’s role as a nurturing ground for character development and leadership, aiming to shape individuals who will contribute meaningfully to society.

Chief Guest Pramod Kumar delivered an impactful speech on the nobility and influence of the teaching profession. He encouraged students to aspire to become transformative figures, akin to legendary educators like Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, or excel as specialists in their chosen fields. Kumar urged them to consider multifaceted career paths, including entrepreneurship, building educational institutions, and assuming leadership roles in the education sector.

Dr. Hardeep Kaur offered valuable counsel to the graduating D.El.Ed. students, extending her best wishes for their future careers. The cultural program that followed featured a series of engaging performances by the trainees, adding a celebratory spirit to the event.

The orientation for the new B.Ed. trainees included the distribution of essential academic tools like diaries, pens, and syllabi. The D.El.Ed. graduating batch was recognized for their achievements, with the top ten students receiving mementos and certificates. Monali Gupta was notably awarded as District Topper and Student of the Session, alongside other students honored for attributes such as discipline, obedience, and active engagement.

The smooth execution of the event was credited to the coordination efforts of Dr. Santosh Kumar Choudhary. The stage anchoring was skillfully managed by trainees Tasneen Saba and Shubham Kumar. The function was attended by all faculty members, administrative staff, and the enthusiastic student body.
