In a significant step for Tripura’s advancement, Union Ministers Jyotiraditya Scindia on Friday dedicated five completed developments and initiated three new ones, collectively worth Rs 365 crore. Spanning enhanced roadways, tourism circuits, solar power, and tribal linkages, these projects aim to propel the state into a era of inclusive prosperity.

Scindia painted a vivid picture of Northeast India’s evolution under PM Modi’s ‘Ashtalakshmi’ blueprint—from frontier outpost to national development vanguard.

Key inaugurations include the Rs 270 crore Jatanbari-Mandirghat via Tirthamukh stretch (13.775 km) and Erarpar-Ambas a KA Road widening (28.90 km), set to streamline daily life and commerce by connecting essential community nodes.

The 8 km Gandachera-Raishyabari-Narikel Kunja path empowers tribal populations, linking them directly to administrative centers and services for equitable progress.

Heritage tourism flourishes with the Amarpur (Fatiksagar)-Chhabimura corridor, showcasing Tripura’s ancient sculptures and biodiversity to a wider audience, thereby enriching local economies through guided tours and handicrafts.

PM-DEVINE’s solar micro-grid stands as a beacon for remote electrification, ensuring uninterrupted power for schools, clinics, and small enterprises in hard-to-reach locales.

Foundation stones marked the start of Rs 95 crore ventures: 9.10 km Kowaiprung (Panjirai)-Karbuk road, Jampui-Kangrai linkage, and Burighat-Serumun-II route, all designed to sustain connectivity in Tripura’s challenging topography.

Over the last dozen years, Central investments exceeding Rs 6.5 lakh crore, bolstered by a 10% ministerial budget commitment, have accelerated Northeast momentum. Scindia lauded CM Manik Saha for fostering exemplary Centre-state harmony, elevating Tripura’s development narrative.
