Udit Pradhan, the president of the Chhatra Congress in Odisha, has been arrested in connection with the alleged rape of a 19-year-old woman. The incident reportedly occurred at a hotel in Bhubaneswar, where the victim’s drink was spiked. The Mancheswar Police Station is investigating the case, and an FIR has been filed. Pradhan has been suspended from the NSUI.
According to reports, the victim met Pradhan and two friends before the alleged incident. Following the arrest, protests took place outside the police station. Despite these demonstrations, the police maintained control and order. The NSUI has since dismissed Pradhan amid the unfolding events.
