Aamir Khan is preparing for the release of ‘Sitaare Zameen Par,’ the spiritual successor to ‘Taare Zameen Par’. The film explores the lives of specially-abled children, with Aamir playing a basketball coach. A behind-the-scenes video has surfaced, featuring a surprise visit from Shah Rukh Khan.
The video shows Shah Rukh visiting the set, much to the enjoyment of the cast and crew. Shah Rukh said Aamir had repeatedly asked him to visit. Shah Rukh said, “Aamir has told me at least 10 times…he is calling me also, saying, ‘Please come. Please come.’” SRK engaged with the cast, asked about their experiences, and took photos. The young actors shared their love for SRK’s films such as ‘Chak De! India’ and ‘Don.’ The highlight was when Shah Rukh recreated his iconic pose.
Directed by RS Prasanna, and also starring Genelia D’Souza, the film will release on June 20. The film is based on the Spanish film, ‘Campeones.’ There was a dispute with the CBFC regarding cuts; however, the film has been approved.
