The legendary film ‘Sholay’ is set to be screened at the Il Cinema Ritrovato Festival, showcasing its global influence. The festival will present a restored, uncut version of the movie, including its original ending. The original conclusion of the film, which was changed, had Thakur killing Gabbar Singh. However, this was altered because of censorship concerns. The Censor Board deemed the scene too violent. The final version saw Jai’s death, and Thakur only attacking Gabbar. Amitabh Bachchan, who wanted to play Gabbar, met Amjad Khan on the set of the movie. The movie stars Dharmendra, Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjeev Kumar, Amjad Khan, Hema Malini, and Jaya Bachchan.
