Jannik Sinner continued his impressive form at the US Open, securing a spot in the quarter-finals with a decisive win over Alexander Bublik. After a less convincing third-round match, Sinner showcased exceptional skill, demolishing Bublik with a score of 6-1, 6-1, 6-1. The match was remarkably quick, lasting only one hour and twenty-one minutes, making it the second-shortest completed men’s singles match of the tournament. Sinner broke Bublik’s serve eight times while only facing a single break point. This victory matches Sinner’s most lopsided Grand Slam performance, mirroring his win against Jiri Lehecka earlier in the year. Sinner’s next match will be against his compatriot Lorenzo Musetti, marking the first all-Italian men’s singles quarter-final in a major tournament. Sinner’s consistent performance also puts him in contention to maintain his World No. 1 ranking in the PIF ATP Rankings, with Carlos Alcaraz as a strong competitor.
