The Urban Administration Department has cancelled the draft of the Bhopal Master Plan made three years ago and has reconstituted the committee to make it afresh. The Bhopal Municipal Corporation Mayor, District Panchayat Chairman, Lok Sabha Member, all the MLAs of Bhopal, Bhopal Development Authority Chairman, Sarpanchs of 74 villages, representatives of senior officers of the district administration have been made members in it.
The Joint Director of Nagar and Gram Nivesh Bhopal will be the convener of the committee. Let us tell you that this change has been made on the instructions of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and Urban Development and Housing Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya. The government’s intention behind this is that the draft of the master plan can be prepared afresh so that the city can be developed properly.
