    Srinagar. There has been huge loss of life and property due to the snow storm and avalanche in Gulmarg, a famous tourist destination of Jammu and Kashmir. There is news of death of one foreign tourist and injury of one tourist. Apart from this, many tourists are reported missing. Considering the situation, rescue operation has been started through helicopter.     A change in the weather is being seen in the northern mountains, where snowfall is once again being seen, to enjoy which a large number of domestic and foreign tourists have reached Gulmarg in Jammu and Kashmir. But this scene turned into a horrifying scene at 2 pm on Thursday.

    One tourist died, while one was reported injured in an avalanche that occurred along the snow storm on the Khilan route of Afravat Peak in Gulmarg. Two tourists have been rescued. Apart from these, there is news of many tourists going missing. As soon as information about the accident was received, rescue operations with helicopters were started.

    Meteorological Department issued yellow alert

    Expressing the possibility of rain in Kashmir to Uttarakhand, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert of hailstorm in many areas. There is a possibility of rain in the coming days in the northeastern states. This change in the weather has been said to be due to Western Disturbance, due to which there is a possibility of light to moderate rain and snowfall in the Western Himalayan region from 24 to 26 February.
