A SpiceJet flight from Mumbai to Bengaluru was marked by an unusual event, as a passenger was trapped in the lavatory for the entire flight. The airline has issued an apology and offered a refund in response to the incident, which has gained significant attention online. The passenger was freed after landing in Bengaluru, with ground staff and engineers resolving the issue with the door.

The incident took place on Monday night. The flight, which was delayed, finally departed Mumbai at 2:10 AM, though it was originally scheduled to leave at 10:55 PM. Shortly after takeoff, a passenger from seat 14D entered the restroom. The door malfunctioned and locked, trapping the individual inside. Crew members attempted to open the door but were unsuccessful. The crew slipped a handwritten note under the door asking the passenger to stay seated until landing.

The note, which gained rapid online attention, amused many. The flight landed in Bengaluru at approximately 3:45 AM, and the lavatory door was opened by airport engineers. SpiceJet has issued a statement of regret and has apologized for the passenger’s uncomfortable experience.
