During a SpiceJet flight from Mumbai to Bengaluru, a passenger had an unusual travel experience, confined to the aircraft’s lavatory for the flight’s duration. The passenger became trapped due to a faulty door lock soon after takeoff. The crew, unable to open the door, provided comfort and instructions through a handwritten note, asking the passenger to remain in the toilet until landing. The flight, which departed late, arrived in Bengaluru where ground staff opened the door. SpiceJet has offered an apology to the affected passenger. The incident and the crew’s note have become a popular topic of discussion online, generating widespread amusement and commentary.
