An unfortunate incident occurred on a SpiceJet flight from Mumbai to Bengaluru where a passenger was unexpectedly confined to the lavatory for the duration of the flight. The door malfunctioned, trapping the passenger inside. The crew, unable to open the door, communicated with the passenger by sliding a handwritten note under the door. The note advised the passenger to remain in the lavatory until the plane landed in Bengaluru. The situation was resolved after the flight landed when ground staff were able to unlock the door. The airline has apologized to the passenger and offered a refund for the stressful experience. The incident, and particularly the crew’s note, has become a trending topic on social media.
