Spirit Air is set to launch new air routes, as part of the UDAN scheme, to connect several smaller cities within Bihar, including Birpur, Saharsa, Munger, Madhubani, Muzaffarpur, Raxaul, Valmikinagar, and Bihta, with major cities across India. This is a strategic move to boost regional connectivity, empower local economies, and create jobs.

This initiative supports the Indian government’s goal of making air travel more accessible and encouraging regional growth. Spirit Air’s project seeks not only to enhance air travel but also to revitalize the economy of Bihar, uplift rural areas, and link them to new markets.

Based in Bengaluru, Spirit Air is run by a team of veteran Air India professionals, bringing over three decades of aviation expertise. For its RCS operations in Bihar, Spirit Air will deploy the Islander BN2T-4S STOL (Short Takeoff & Landing) aircraft for passenger, cargo, and medical transport, and the King Air 250, known for its high performance.

The initial stage of regional passenger air services will begin in Birpur, Saharsa, Munger, Madhubani, Muzaffarpur, Raxaul, Valmikinagar, and Bihta.

These airports will be connected to major cities such as Varanasi, Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai, and Bihta will have direct connections to Patna, as well as Jamshedpur, and Bokaro.

International flight options will include Muzaffarpur to Kathmandu and Janakpur (Nepal), Birpur to Rajbiraj and Biratnagar (Nepal), Valmikinagar to Kathmandu and Bhairahawa (Nepal), and Bihta to Kathmandu.

Partnering with DTDS Travel & Tour Planner Pvt. Ltd., Spirit Air will offer travelers an integrated door-to-door travel service that includes home pick-up, airport transfers, flights, and final destination drop-off, all payable through one payment system, online booking, and at an affordable price.

Key advantages include savings in time and cost, consolidated booking, dependable and comfortable services, designed for seniors, families, tourists, and business travelers, with round-the-clock customer support.

This initiative is predicted to boost regional and national tourism, attract investment in aviation, hospitality, and transportation, stimulate local economic development, aid smart infrastructure projects, and position Spirit Air as a leading regional airline.
