Hazaribagh, Jharkhand – The Narsingh Sthan temple, situated near Barkagaon Road, became a beacon of devotion on Wednesday as a large congregation of pilgrims celebrated Kartik Purnima. Devotees participated in ritualistic bathing and meditation, followed by darshan and worship of Lord Narsingh. The temple complex started attracting devotees from 3 AM, indicating the spiritual significance of the day.

The annual fair organized on Kartik Purnima saw a significant turnout, with many attendees traveling from other districts to offer their prayers. Law and order were meticulously managed by a dedicated team comprising 15 magistrates, 100 male and female police personnel, and 10 police officers to ensure a peaceful celebration. The Superintendent of Police, Anjani Anjan, was present at the temple to offer his prayers and seek the blessings of Lord Narsingh.

Distinguished guests, including Congress leader Munna Singh and Sadar MLA Pradeep Prasad, were also part of the religious gathering, performing prayers and seeking blessings. The temple administration facilitated an organized darshan by establishing separate lines for men and women, allowing for a smooth flow of devotees.

Sugarcane vendors reported brisk sales at the Narsingh fair, with many attendees indulging in the festive purchase. The Narsingh Sthan is a unique religious site, housing idols of Lord Vishnu in all his ten avatars: Matsya, Kurma, Varaha, Narsingh, Vamana, Parashurama, Rama, Krishna, Buddha, and Kalki. The complex also includes shrines dedicated to Goddess Kali and Lakshmi Narayan.
