12 West Indies gamers together with Kieron Pollard, Jason Holder decline to tour Bangladesh

Twelve gamers, together with Test captain Jason Holder, One-day International captain Kieron Pollard, and Darren Bravo, have declined to go to Bangladesh with the West Indies group on subsequent month’s quick tour as a consequence of Covid-19 associated considerations or private fears.

“The CWI Covid-19 policy allows any player to opt out of selection for an overseas tour, only when based on the player’s own safety fears or concerns. Such decisions will not impact their consideration for future selection,” it mentioned.
The Test squad can be led by the skilled Kraigg Brathwaite, with Jermaine Blackwood as vice-captain. Former Trinidad and Tobago and West Indies A group captain, Jason Mohammed, will lead the ODI group with Sunil Ambris as vice-captain.
