Afghanistan’s U19 cricket squad is all set for an international outing in India next month, participating in a Youth ODI Tri-series. The series, commencing on November 17 and concluding on November 30, will be hosted in Bengaluru and will feature India U19 A and India U19 B as the other competitors. This venture is a significant part of the team’s strategic preparation for major upcoming youth cricket tournaments.
These include the ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup and the ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2026, which is slated to be held in Zimbabwe and Namibia. The Afghanistan Cricket Board has confirmed that this series, along with a subsequent tour to Bangladesh, forms a crucial part of their World Cup readiness program. Rigorous training camps have been conducted to ensure the players are physically and mentally prepared. The tournament follows a double round-robin format, offering extensive game time before the finalists battle it out for the trophy.
