After leaving the Board of Control for Cricket in India, former nationwide captain is all set to combat for the president of the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB).

By Anirban Sinha Roy: Former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly is ready to combat elections to turn out to be the president of the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB). The veteran just lately completed his stint because the president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India after taking cost again in 2019. If stories are to be believed, 1983 World Cup-winner Roger Binny is ready to switch Ganguly on the helm.
From 2015 to 2019, Ganguly served because the CAB president, after which he joined the Indian board. After his departure three years in the past, it was Avishek Dalmiya who took cost because the CAB president. Dalmiya, thereby, grew to become the youngest CAB president. With Dalmiya’s stint set to finish, Ganguly is ready to combat to take again his place in Bengal cricket.
After his stint ended, Ganguly, certainly one of India’s most profitable captains, mentioned that after serving the BCCI for 3 years, he would look to proceed contributing to cricket.
“These were great moments, whatever you do in life. I keep telling everyone, the best days were when you played for your country. I have seen so much after that, I have been president of the CAB, I have been president of the BCCI, and I will go on to do bigger things in the future, but those 15 years will be the best days of my life,” Ganguly was quoted as saying.
“Those were the days when I woke up every morning to be successful. When you left the hotel, you thought it was an important day for me, ‘if I don’t score, I may not be picked again’. But at the end of the day, when you went on to score a hundred, you felt the world is the best place to be in because you have been successful,” he added.
Earlier, it was realized that Ganguly had left the Indian board on a bitter notice. However, BCCI’s outgoing treasurer Arun Dhumal brushed apart the rumours and referred to as them baseless.
“There has been no BCCI president who has served for more than three years in independent India. All this media speculation about Dada being told or a few members were against him, they are all baseless,” Dhumal mentioned.
