Borussia Dortmund striker Sebastien Haller has left the pre-season coaching camp prematurely in Switzerland after a tumour was present in his testicle, the German membership introduced on Tuesday.
The 28-year-old Ivory Coast participant had solely not too long ago joined Borussia Dortmund after spending a 12 months with Ajax. On July 6, 2022, Haller signed a contract with Dortmund till June 30, 2026. He had scored 34 targets for the Dutch facet Ajax final season, together with 11 in eight Champions League matches.
Dortmund in a press release stated that Haller complained that he felt unwell after coaching on Monday and following a sequence of thorough medical examination performed through the course of the day, a testicular tumour was found. The membership added that additional examinations will happen in a specialist medical facility over the approaching days.

“This news today came as a shock to Sebastien Haller and everyone else. The entire BVB family hopes that Sebastien makes a full recovery as soon as possible and that we can give him a hug again soon. We’ll do everything in our power to ensure that he receives the best-possible treatment,” BVB sporting director Sebastian Kehl stated in a press release.
After the announcement made by Borussia Dortmund, the Dutch facet Ajax tweeted “Seb” with coronary heart and prayer emojis. The Premier League membership West Ham United, the place Haller performed between 2019 and 2021, replied to Dortmund’s tweet, saying: We’re with you, Sebastien Haller. Wishing you one of the best together with your restoration.”
