Royal Challengers Bengaluru delivered a power-packed performance, amassing 178 for 6 and handing Gujarat Giants a steep 179-run chase in WPL 2026 Match 12 at Vadodara. Star of the show was Gautami Naik, whose blistering 73 from 55 balls – including 8 boundaries – lit up the BCA Stadium.
With four wins from four, RCB under Mandhana were determined to dominate. But early blows saw Harris and Voll dismissed cheaply, score reading 9 for 2. Naik’s resilience shone through a 60-run third-wicket partnership with Mandhana (26, 4×4), stabilizing at 69 for 3.
Naik then unleashed with Ghosh, forging 69 runs to reach 138. Ghosh’s 27 came off 20 balls with three massive sixes. Not out till the end, Naik’s 7 fours and 1 six highlighted her class. Yadav’s 17* off 8 balls added vital runs.
Kashvee Gautam and skipper Ashleigh Gardner grabbed two wickets each for GG, with Renuka Thakur and Sophie Devine chipping in. GG’s playing XI: Gardner (c), Mooney (wk), Devine, Sharma, Ahuja, Wareham, Gautam, Fulmali, Kanwar, Kumari, Renuka.
RCB lineup: Mandhana (c), Harris, Voll, Ghosh (wk), Naik, de Klerk, Yadav, Rawat, Patil, Satghare, Bell. GG, winners of first two but losers of last two, faces redemption. This WPL thriller sets the stage for an intense battle.
