F1 addresses abusive conduct of some followers at Austrian GP
Formula One says it would focus on the “unacceptable” conduct of some abusive followers on the Austrian Grand Prix with the race promoter. F1 stated previous to Sunday’s race that it has acquired stories from different followers who stated they have been reportedly subjected to slurs and abusive feedback.
“We have been made aware of reports that some fans have been subject to completely unacceptable comments by others at the Austrian Grand Prix,” F1 stated in an announcement. “We take these matters very seriously, have raised them with the promoter and event security, and will be speaking to those who reported the incidents.”
The Red Bull Ring in Spielberg has been bought out with 300,000 followers attending over three days. F1 stated the abusive conduct of some followers “is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.”
