By India Today Web Desk: Argentina captain and seven-time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi has stated that is his final likelihood of reaching his nice dream of profitable the FIFA World Cup. Argentina are set to face Saudi Arabia of their opening group-stage match on the Lusail Stadium.

Speaking forward of their opening match, Messi stated he is aware of this might be his ultimate World Cup and the final likelihood to attain his nice dream.

“I know that this is a very special moment, certainly my last World Cup, my last chance of achieving this great dream that I have, that we all want. But, apart from that, I didn’t do anything special,” said Messi.

The PSG forward said he didn’t do anything special to prepare himself for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

“This is a different moment in the season, with so few matches. I have always felt well while playing matches. I have always been fine and more comfortable as I played more. That’s what I have been trying until I landed here in the beginning of the World Cup. But I didn’t do anything special. I took care of myself and worked like I have done throughout my career,” Messi added.

The Argentine stated the crew in not beneath strain as they simply received the Copa America, insisting the crew isn’t feeling anxious.

“We have just won a competition and that’s very reassuring. It helps you work in a different way. You don’t feel as anxious. People don’t put as much pressure on you,” stated Messi.

The 35-year-old stated that the present Argentina squad reminds him of the 2014 crew that reached the ultimate of the FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

“This squad really reminds me of 2014. We’re very united and clear on how we wanted to play. It’s great to be here in such good form, because it gives you such confidence,” Messi added.

Argentina should battle it out with Saudi Arabia, Mexico and Poland in Group-C of the FIFA World Cup. They will lock horns with Saudi Arabia of their opening match.
