The event was also attended by ICC Chief Jay Shah. Kaur conveyed the team’s determination to secure the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup title, highlighting the team’s rigorous preparation. She recalled the moving experience of her return to India after her outstanding performance in the 2017 World Cup. The emotional welcome the team received, despite not winning the cup, remains vivid in her memory. Kaur also emphasized the importance of the upcoming home ODI series against Australia, which begins on September 14th, as a critical assessment of the team’s readiness, given the team’s recent successes against England in both ODI and T20 formats. The series will act as a test of their current form.
