Breaking new ground, the Royal Netherlands Cricket Board has declared its squad for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. Babette de Leede takes the helm as the 15-strong team prepares for their maiden voyage in the tournament, launching June 12 in England and Wales with 12 teams vying for the crown.

De Leede, in her debut captaincy at this level, shared her vision: ‘Our first World Cup is a moment of pure excitement. It’s our chance to test mettle against global elites and highlight Dutch prowess. With England nearby, expect waves of Orange support, turning this into a landmark for our team and supporters.’

Qualification came through sheer dominance last year in Nepal’s Global Qualifiers Super Sixes, not dropping a single match.

In Group A, they’ll tackle Australia, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, and South Africa, aiming for semifinal berths via top-two group finishes.

Key fixtures: Bangladesh on June 14 (Edgbaston), India June 17 (Headingley), Australia June 20 (Utilita Bowl), South Africa June 25 (County Ground, Bristol), Pakistan June 27.

Pre-tournament prep includes a Scotland tri-series with Bangladesh and hosts.

Complete Team: Babette de Leede (c), Caroline de Lange, Frederique Overdijk, Hannah Landheer, Heather Siegers, Iris Zwilling, Isabel van der Woning, Lara Julius, Mirthe van den Raad, Feebje Molkenboer, Robin Rickek, Rosalie Lawrence, Sanya Khurana, Silver Siegers, Sterre Kalis.
