ICC unveils names of World Cup mascots as Blaze and Tonk after fan vote

The International Cricket Council on Saturday introduced that their two World Cup 2023 mascots will likely be generally known as ‘Blaze’ and ‘Tonk’ after majority of followers voted for these two names.

The duo had been unveiled again in August and followers from across the globe had been requested to assist identify them, with Blaze and Tonk rising because the winners.

The feminine mascot will likely be known as ‘Blaze’, who in line with the ICC press launch said, “will be bowling at rapid pace, leaving batters in sheer awe. “Tonk is a male mascot, with icy-cool composure, making him a batting champion. His range of shots sizzle and leave the crowds electrified, with finesse and power on display in equal measure. Tonk has an electromagnetic bat and versatile shot repertoire, lighting up the grandest stage,” the discharge added.
