India added another win to their tally in the Asia Cup 2025, defeating Oman by 21 runs in the final Group A match held in Abu Dhabi. This victory finalized an undefeated group stage for the Indian team, thereby securing their progression into the Super 4 round. After winning the toss, India elected to bat, and scored 188/8 in their 20 overs. Sanju Samson’s composed half-century of 56 runs off 45 balls played a key role in setting up the score. Although the initial phase saw a slow start, India gained momentum through strategic hitting and intelligent rotation of the strike in the middle overs. Oman displayed a commendable performance with Aamir Kaleem scoring 64 runs from 46 balls and Hammad Mirza scoring 51 runs off 33 balls. Their partnership of 93 runs for the second wicket kept Oman competitive. In the final overs, India’s bowlers effectively controlled the game. A highlight of the match was Arshdeep Singh’s achievement as he became the first Indian bowler to take 100 T20I wickets. His final wicket confirmed both the victory and his milestone.
