Excitement gripped the Pune Club Golf Course as Tvesa Malik and Ridhima Dilawari posted twin 3-under 68s to lead after the first round of WPGT 2026 Leg-4. With 49 players chasing Rs 17 lakhs under Hero MotoCorp’s banner, the stage is set for a fierce competition.
Tvesa, who snapped a two-plus-year title famine last week via playoff over Anvitha Narendran at Oxford Golf Resort (her prior win: Sept 2023, DLF Gurugram), delivered poise under pressure. Her front nine: one birdie, one bogey. The climax came with three birdies across the last four holes. Ridhima exploded with five front-nine birdies and a sixth on 10, soaring to 6-under. A bogey on 11, birdie on 14, double on 15, and bogey on 18 leveled her at 68 – a rollercoaster ride.
Solo third went to Vani Kapoor (69), with amateur Anuradha Chaudhary (70) fourth as the next under-par finisher. Lavanya Gupta hit 72 for fifth; tied at 73 for sixth were Sneha Singh, Durga Nittur, Jasmine Shekar, Anvitha Narendran, and Vidhatri Urs. Amandeep Drall (74) and Neha Tripathi (75) remain contenders.
Last week’s even-par final round highlighted Aradhana Manikandan and Vani Kapoor in a share of fourth. Tvesa’s resurgence and Ridhima’s flair signal a captivating week ahead, where precision and recovery will define champions on this demanding course.
