KL Rahul admits nervous power in dressing room in run-chase vs Bangladesh in 2nd Test: They made it very arduous for us

Bangladesh vs India: Skipper KL Rahul stated that there was plenty of nervousness within the Indian dressing room after the Tigers picked up wickets at common intervals.

By India Today Web Desk: Skipper KL Rahul admitted that there was nervous power within the dressing room throughout India’s run-chase in opposition to Bangladesh within the 2nd Test on the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.

After being requested to chase down 145 to win the sport, India misplaced 4 wickets within the third session of Day 3 and wanted 100 runs going into the fourth day.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz picked up a five-wicket haul as, at one cut-off date, India wanted 71 runs with solely three wickets in hand.

But from there on, Shreyas Iyer and Ravi Ashwin’s unbeaten 71-run stand took India previous the end line within the very first session on Day 4.

“It was a tough game and I am happy that we got the job done. We were in a bit of trouble, there was pressure and there was nervousness in the dressing room. But I’m really happy that Ashwin and Shreyas got that partnership and got us the victory.

“The conditions were tough but that is what makes Test cricket fun. When the conditions are tough, your character gets tested and we like playing cricket like that. It was a tough game, but a memorable one,” Rahul was quoted as saying within the post-match presentation ceremony.

Rahul was, nevertheless, completely satisfied that India made a powerful comeback after shedding the three-match ODI sequence 1-2. Back then, the Men in Blue misplaced the primary two matches to concede the sequence, after which they received the final ODI at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.

“It was a really good series as there was a lot of experience and learning. The ODI series was not the greatest, but sometimes a series loss does show a lot of things and tells you where you stand as a team,” he said.

“In the Test series, it was hard for us as Bangladesh really played some very very good cricket. They challenged us a lot and made it very hard for us,” Rahul added.
