Liverpool is poised to finalize the signing of Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth for a reported £45 million, adding to their summer transfer activity. The potential arrival of Kerkez, a left-back, follows the recent signing of Jeremie Frimpong. Liverpool is also in negotiations to acquire Florian Writz. The club is aiming to strengthen the competition for Andy Robertson on the left flank. Milos Kerkez, a 20-year-old Hungarian player, is keen on joining Liverpool, with the deal being managed by Liverpool’s sporting director, Richard Hughes. A key consideration for Kerkez is his jersey number. His preferred number, No. 3, is already in use by Wataru Endo. If Endo were to leave or select another number, Kerkez could potentially take the No. 3 shirt. Kerkez had a successful 2024-25 season, playing 41 games for Bournemouth across all competitions. He played 38 Premier League matches, scoring two goals and providing six assists. In the FA Cup, he played three games and provided two assists.
