Manchester City are laborious to face: United supervisor Erik ten Hag forward of Derby

Manchester United supervisor Erik ten Hag has spoken about Manchester Derby and the way he plans to maintain Pep Guardiola at bay.

By India Today Web Desk: Manchester United are set to play the Derby on Saturday, 14 January. Old Trafford will play host to the second leg of the match after Manchester City thrashed United within the first leg of the draw by a 6-3 margin. Speaking forward of the sport, United supervisor Erik ten Hag has known as Pep Guardiola’s crew the hardest opponents to face.

“I think we can compete with every team but obviously Manchester City, when they’re at their best, they are hard opponents for everyone,” Ten Hag told talkSPORT.

“But we have to play our best and then we have a chance,” the manager further added.

United stood no chance in their last game as City players ran through the defence. Ten Hag said that United are a good team and with the right attitude can compete well in the match.

“If we do it, [play] like in City [in the 6-3 defeat], then you don’t have a chance. So it’s up to us to have a good team, the right co-operation, the right attitude on the pitch, especially if you talk about attitude. So a winning attitude. That is what we need on Saturday,” the supervisor was quoted as saying by the Manchester United web site.
