New Zealand all-rounder fined, used indecent language

New Zealand all-rounder Darryl Mitchell was fined 15 per cent of the match fee on Sunday by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for using foul language during the first Test match against the West Indies. The ICC said Mitchell violated Section 2.3 of the code of conduct did. He used foul language against Windies captain Jason Holder in the 62nd over of the second innings on Saturday.
The ICC said that a demerit point has also been added to the 29-year-old all-rounder’s account. It is worth mentioning that if four demerit points are added to a player’s account within 24 months, then he can also be banned. New Zealand beat West Indies by an innings and 134 runs in the first Test match and took a 1-0 lead in the two-match series.
