Phil Salt, who significantly contributed to Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (RCB) IPL 2025 victory, has continued his remarkable form in ‘The Hundred’ tournament. Salt has made history by becoming the first male cricketer to score 1000 runs in the league, accomplishing the feat in 37 innings. Before this, he had also achieved 1000 runs in the IPL. While playing for Manchester Originals, Salt secured this milestone in a match against Oval Invincibles, scoring 41 runs. Immediately after reaching the 1000-run mark, Salt hit a colossal 103-meter six off the bowling of Saqib Mahmood. Notably, Nat Sciver-Brunt, the England captain, had achieved the same feat before Salt in the Women’s Hundred, becoming the first woman to reach 1000 runs in the tournament.
