Former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina has lauded Vaibhav Suryavanshi, a young Indian batter, for his outstanding performance in IPL 2025. The 14-year-old player was in the limelight even before the tournament began, with Rajasthan Royals signing him for INR 1.1 crore. Suryavanshi lived up to the hype, scoring 252 runs in just seven matches and establishing himself as a top player. A remarkable moment was his innings against Gujarat Titans, where he scored 101 runs off 38 balls. This achievement made him the youngest male player to score a T20 century and secured the second-fastest century in IPL history, achieved in only 35 deliveries. Raina emphasized Suryavanshi’s unique, fearless approach. He also highlighted Suryavanshi’s recent century in England and his IPL century, demonstrating his potential. Raina mentioned a coach from Bihar who supported Suryavanshi, reinforcing the idea that Suryavanshi’s talent is exceptional, akin to that of Rishabh Pant and Rinku Singh.
