Pakistan achieved a decisive victory against the UAE, winning by 31 runs in a T20I match. Pakistan’s innings resulted in a strong total of 207 runs, marking their third-highest score in the format. Saim Ayub played a pivotal role in setting up the win. The left-handed batsman proved to be a formidable force against UAE’s bowling attack, scoring 69 runs off 38 balls.
After Ayub was out, Hasan Nawaz accelerated the scoring, hitting 38 runs off just 22 balls. Despite Pakistan losing wickets at crucial moments, contributions from the lower order, including Mohammad Nawaz (25), Faheem Ashraf (16) and Hasan Ali (9), added 45 runs in the final overs.
UAE struggled from the beginning of their innings, largely relying on their captain, Muhammad Waseem, who scored 33 runs. With the remaining batsmen failing to build partnerships, Pakistan’s spin bowlers, Nawaz and Ayub, seized control. Consequently, UAE’s score was limited to 176.
Asif Khan stood out for UAE, scoring an impressive 77 runs off 35 balls, which helped to improve UAE’s net run rate.
