Home and Sports Minister Ashish Sood, addressing the press, couldn’t hide his joy. ‘It’s thrilling to welcome Shikhar Dhawan, Delhi’s celebrated son in cricket, to our team for the Mahakumbh.’ He praised the Gupta-led government’s focus on youth and sports advancement.
Sood detailed the impact: ‘Dhawan’s role will infuse the event with new vigor, trust, and visibility. Launching on February 13, the Mahakumbh will benefit from his on-ground presence to inspire and train emerging athletes.’
