Shubman Gill reaches residence after Australia tour, shares image with relations

Rising Indian batting star Shubman Gill on Saturday put out an image along with his household after reaching residence. “Home sweet home (emoticon: heart),” tweeted the opening batsman, together with the photograph along with his mom, father, and sister. He, nevertheless, didn’t point out the town title in his tweet.

Gill, along with his defiant 91, had set a platform for India’s shock win over Australia within the fourth and remaining Test in Brisbane that gave the Ajinkya Rahane-led workforce a 2-1 win within the four-match collection for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

Like many of the workforce members, Gill had been away from his residence since August, first enjoying the Indian Premier League within the United Arab Emirates after which heading straight from there to Australia with the Indian workforce.

The right-handed batsman, who scored 259 runs in three Tests at a mean of 51.8, was praised by Australian tempo bowler and man of the collection Pat Cummins who can be his teammate on the Kolkata Knight Riders IPL franchise.

“Shubi looked good. You know he is quite a calm character, doesn’t seem too much fazed, looked quite settled in the first Test (debut at MCG). Looked similar to the way he plays, wants to take the game on when the bowlers provide opportunities. Some days they come off, some days they don’t,” Cummins had mentioned through the second Test.

Gill made his Test debut within the second Test in Melbourne. He scored 45 and 35 there, after which scored 50 and 31 in Sydney, and adopted it up with seven and match-winning 91 in Brisbane.
