Cricket enthusiasts can anticipate exciting T20 action as Pakistan, Afghanistan, and the United Arab Emirates will compete in a tri-series ahead of the Asia Cup 2025. The Emirates Cricket Board will host the tournament in Sharjah, with matches scheduled for late August and early September. The series provides crucial preparation for the Asia Cup 2025. Instead of the initially planned Pakistan-Afghanistan bilateral series, the tri-nation format will be employed. Each team will face the other two twice in a round-robin format, leading to a final between the top two teams. Matches will begin at 7:00 PM local time. Pakistan is ranked 8th in the T20I standings, with Afghanistan at 9th and UAE at 14th. The Asia Cup 2025 will be played from September 9 to 28 in the T20 format, involving eight teams.
