The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has unveiled dates for a landmark cricket double-header: the fourth T20 Mumbai League and the first-ever T20 Mumbai Women’s League, both from June 1 to 13 at Wankhede Stadium. This simultaneous showcase highlights MCA’s push for inclusive cricket growth.

President Ajinkya Naik lauded the initiative’s impact. ‘The T20 Mumbai League has been instrumental in strengthening our cricket ecosystem and pairing young guns with international icons. Combining men’s and women’s tournaments at Wankhede amplifies our focus on talent nurturing and wider accessibility.’

Rajdeep Gupta, League Governing Council Chairman, stressed the platform’s value. ‘For aspiring cricketers, Wankhede is transformative. Live on Star Sports and streaming on JioHotstar, it guarantees massive visibility. Fans are in for a treat with premium, exhilarating cricket.’

Men’s league participants include elite names like Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, Ajinkya Rahane, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shivam Dube, Sarfaraz Khan, Shardul Thakur, alongside rising stars Tushar Deshpande, Ayush Mhatre, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Musheer Khan, Suryansh Shedge, and Abijaan Kundu across eight teams.

Three teams grace the women’s debut, featuring promising talents Sayali Satghare, Saima Thakor, Humaira Kazi, auction sensation Ira Jadhav, Sanika Chalke, and Simran Shaikh from the domestic circuit.

This 13-day festival at Wankhede is poised to inspire the next generation while thrilling fans with a blend of experience and youthful vigor.
