By India Today Sports Desk: USA quick bowler Tara Norris stated that she needs to boost consciousness about affiliate nations by participating within the inaugural version of the Women’s Premier League (WPL).

Norris was picked to play for the Delhi Capitals (DC) and is the one cricketer from an affiliate nation to participate within the T20 match.

“It’s nice to come here, have a run around and assess the conditions,” Norris was quoted as saying.

Norris talked in regards to the struggles that feminine cricketers within the USA undergo and needs to make them proud.

“Definitely want to make the associates proud. A lot of girls struggle with a lot of funding, facilities and fixtures available. So, I wanted to make them proud and hopefully raise the awareness and get more players involved,” Norris added.
