The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Thursday relaxed Covid-19 institutional quarantine norms for Maharashtra-based gamers and assist workers of the Indian cricket group as they returned to Mumbai after their victorious tour of Australia.
The norms have been relaxed after the intervention of NCP chief Sharad Pawar, who interjected on the gamers’ behalf with the state authorities on the behest of the Board of Cricket Control in India.
The resolution to ease institutional quarantine guidelines comes a day after Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray is claimed to have rejected a suggestion to chill out of norms for Maharashtra-based gamers of the group.
