Mithun Manhas is likely to be appointed as the next BCCI President, potentially ushering in a new era for Indian cricket. This would be a first, as no uncapped cricketer has ever held the position. Manhas has a strong background in domestic cricket, with nearly 15,000 runs across various formats, including 157 first-class matches, 130 List A matches, and 91 T20 matches. He is currently involved with the Jammu-Kashmir Cricket Association. The appointment is expected to be announced at the AGM on September 28th. Alongside Manhas, several other individuals are expected to assume key roles in Indian cricket, including Rajiv Shukla as Vice-President, Raghunath Bhatt as Treasurer, Prabhtej Bhatia as Joint Secretary, and Arun Kumar Dhumal as IPL Chairman, and Devajit Saikia as BCCI Secretary.
