Gautam Gambhir, the head coach of Team India, is recognized for his strategic acumen and his skill in inspiring players. He has recently shown this by providing motivational support to Varun Chakravarthy. Chakravarthy disclosed the encouraging message he received from Gambhir. In an interview conducted before the Asia Cup, Varun Chakravarthy described Gautam Gambhir as a warrior, and mentioned that Gambhir conveyed his complete belief in him and assured him of a place in his plans.
During an interview with Revsportz, Varun Chakravarthy stated, ‘Gautam Gambhir significantly aided my comeback; he always boosted my morale. We don’t talk much, but he has always given me confidence. He said, ‘Even if anyone ignores you, I will always include you in my plans.’ He motivated me in this manner. His mindset is akin to that of a warrior. His approach benefited KKR and helped in the Champions Trophy as well.’
Chakravarthy also mentioned that the Asia Cup would provide much-needed rest to white-ball cricketers. He stated, ‘The Asia Cup is approaching. White-ball players have had a good rest after the IPL. I played in TNPL, but despite that, I got a month’s rest. I worked on my strength and conditioning. I also focused on my bowling and batting. I’m feeling great because I have spent time with my child, wife, and parents.’ Varun Chakravarthy will be seen in action in the Asia Cup, which commences on September 9th in the UAE. India’s first match is scheduled for September 10th against the UAE. They will compete against Pakistan on September 14th.
