New Zealand girls’s crew skipper Sophie Devine smashed a 36-ball century in her crew Wellington Blaze’s massive win over Otago Sparks in New Zealand’s Twenty20 Super Smash on Wednesday.
She broke the earlier document held by West Indies’ Deandra Dottin, who scored a 38-ball ton towards South Africa in 2010.
Devine’s knock was additionally the quickest T20 century in New Zealand, beating Tim Seifert’s 40-ball effort for Northern Districts in Mount Maunganui in 2017.

“For me it was nearly taking part in sensible cricket – to know the place my gaps have been, attempting to govern the sector … I felt I knew the place they have been attempting to bowl so if I may manipulate myself across the crease, I may open up areas of the sector, so, yeah, I’m happy with the way in which it went right now.
“Sometimes I can get a little bit carried away … and I get a bit over eager and play some rash shots so it was nice to stick to some decent cricket shots today and finish the job.”
