Women’s Premier League: This marks the beginning of an period, abroad stars react after bids

By India Today Web Desk: Australian and England star cricketers hailed the Women’s Premier League bidding, saying it marks the beginning of an period.

The BCCI on Wednesday introduced the 5 franchises, together with three that have already got groups within the Indian Premier League, that received the rights to personal a group within the Women’s Premier League. Ltd (Bengaluru) – INR 901 cr, JSW GMR Cricket Pvt. Ltd (Delhi) – INR 810 cr, and Capri Global Holdings Pvt. Ltd (Lucknow) – INR 757 cr.

Australia pacer Megan Schutt welcomed the announcement, saying: “Incredibly exciting this marks the start of an era. Great for female cricketers but also great for female sport across the globe investment equals opportunity.”

England pacer Kate Cross didn’t maintain again and referred to as out those that devalued ladies’s cricket for thus lengthy.

Australian bowling all-rounder Jessica Jonassen stated, “Wow! What an incredible result for the women’s game.” New Zealand’s Frances Mackay added, “Huge day for women’s cricket. Look at those numbers! Can’t wait for the Women’s Premier League!”

South African Marizanne Kapp, England’s Danielle Wyatt and Australian Holly Ferling stated the ladies’s league can be “life changing”. Wyatt tweeted: “This is amazing! how exciting.”

“Today is the day that the landscape of women’s cricket & women’s sport has changed forever. Game changing. Life changing. #WPL,” Ferling wrote. While Kapp stated: “How exciting, big day for women’s cricket.”
