Women’s World Cup: West Indies fined for gradual over-rate towards India
The West Indies gamers have been fined 40 per cent of their match charges for sustaining a gradual over-rate throughout the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup match towards India right here.
Shandre Fritz of the ICC International Panel of Match Referees imposed the sanction after Stafanie Taylor’s facet was dominated to be two overs in need of the goal after time allowances have been considered.
“In accordance with Article 2.22 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to minimum over-rate offences, players are fined 20 per cent of their match fee for every over their side fails to bowl in the allotted time,” the ICC stated in a press release.
Taylor pleaded responsible to the offence and accepted the proposed sanction, so there was no want for a proper listening to.
On-field umpires Eloise Sheridan and Paul Wilson, third umpire Ahmed Shah Pakteen and fourth umpire Ruchira Palliyaguruge levelled the cost.
India defeated West Indies by an enormous 155 runs right here on Saturday to register their second win within the match.
