Saha, 37, who has been dropped from the Indian team, had taken to Twitter to allege that one “revered” journalist took an aggressive tone after his refusal to grant him an interview. “After all of my contributions to Indian cricket..that is what I face from a so-called ‘Respected’ journalist! This is the place the journalism has gone,” Saha had tweeted.

The Indian Cricketers’ Association (ICA) has condemned the “threatening” message to veteran wicketkeeper-batter Wriddhiman Saha by a senior Indian journalist. The BCCI Treasurer Arun Dhumal has also said that the board will look into the matter and speak with Saha.

“Yes, we are going to ask Wriddhiman about his tweet and what’s the actual incident that has occurred. We must know if he was threatened and likewise the background and context of his tweet.
