Action should be taken quickly in pending cases – Dr. Kiranmayi Nayak
The cases related to the harassment of women of Bastar district were heard by the committee headed by Dr. Smt. The trial included 15 cases of mental torture, kidnapping, dowry torture, murder, harassment at workplace. During this, the Chairperson Smt Nayak instructed the various departments to expedite the pending cases related to women.
His father had appeared in a case over a complaint of a missing woman, which took more than 2 years. The commission summoned the police station in-charge and directed to expedite the process of investigation and asked them to inform the Commission regularly about the efforts being made. Similarly, in the case of compassionate appointment of 11 years old, the chairman directed the Assistant District Education Officer to immediately process the process of compassionate appointment. In the matter of Health Department not being formed Internal Complaint Committee, Dr. Nayak spoke to CMHO of Jagdalpur and directed to complete the inquiry by constituting Internal Complaint Committee within 1 month.
In another case, Anavedka married a second wife without divorcing the first wife. On coming to the notice of the Commission, details of salary and deposit money of the applicant are being sought from the employer to ensure the future of the applicant and her children. On a complaint by a victim woman about the lateness in the narco test of suspicious persons regarding the loss or death of her son, the Speaker discussed the telephone with SP Jagdalpur and talked to DJ Jagdalpur himself to speed up the process. .
During the hearing, social distancing and physical distancing were followed as per the instructions issued by the government. Jagdalpur Mayor Smt.
