Raipur Date 3 December 2024/ Today under the chairmanship of State Election Commissioner Shri Ajay Singh, a review meeting was organized in the meeting room of the State Election Commission Atal Nagar Nava Raipur office regarding the preparations for the election work under the upcoming general/by-election of municipalities and three-tier panchayats. Went. Divisional Commissioner of Raipur Division, Inspector General of Police, all Collectors and Superintendents of Police of the division and Deputy District Election Officer participated in the meeting. In the meeting, important preparations related to election preparations, security arrangements, status of polling stations and election process were mainly reviewed for the smooth conduct of elections. Through this meeting, necessary instructions were given to ensure smooth and safe conduct of elections.
State Election Commissioner Shri Ajay Singh instructed all the officers to make all necessary preparations to conduct peaceful elections. He directed to complete all the training programs before the publication of the voter list. He said that all the District Election Officers should personally see the election roll, there should not be any kind of error in it.
State Election Commissioner Shri Ajay Singh also discussed the challenges and possible problems faced during the electoral process. He directed the officials to maintain a peaceful atmosphere during the elections, increase voter awareness, and make the voting process transparent and fair. He said that the report on compliance with the guidelines issued by the Election Commission is being reviewed from time to time. Collectors and Superintendents of Police of all the districts informed about the updated status of election preparations of their respective districts through power point presentation.
State Election Commissioner Shri Ajay Singh told all the officers present that you all should keep reviewing your preparations. On 26th November last, the officers of Bilaspur and Surguja divisions and on 29th November, Durg division's election preparations were reviewed. Tomorrow on 4th December, a meeting of senior officials of Bastar division will be held to review the election preparations.
State Election Commissioner Shri Ajay Singh also stressed on the need to strengthen security measures and law and order. He also reviewed the facilities, deployment of staff, and availability of election material at the polling stations so that there is no inconvenience. The meeting also ensured that there is coordination and cooperation between all the concerned officials so that the election process is completed without any hindrance. He said that representatives of political parties should provide correct information on time.
