BJP’s base is shrinking, claims Bhupesh Baghel

Commenting on results of recently concluded assembly polls in Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Sunday said people of country are now rejecting the BJP and its base is shrinking slowly and steadily.

Baghel was talking to media persons here at Swami Vivekanand Airport, Raipur before leaving for Jharkhand’s capital Ranchi to attend swearing-in ceremony of Hemant Soren as chief minister of Jharkhand where the BJP was in the power.

Replying to a query on election to the mayoral post in state, the Chief Minister further claimed that Congress will clinch all the nine Mayoral posts in municipal corporations all over the state.

Responding to a comment by the BJP’s senior leader Dharamlal Kaushik at National Tribal Dance Festival, Baghel said the agitation Kaushik was claiming was not of the farmers but was of the BJP people.
